Pita Bread

Try baking your own pita breads – easy to fill with all your favorite stuffings! Enough for about 10 breads.

This is how you do:

  1. Mix Finax Psyllium and yeast into the water and leave to cool for about 10 minutes.
  2. Add in the remaining ingredients and work together into a dough, using a machine for about 5 minutes.
  3. Leave to raise under cover for about 45 minutes.
  4. Bring the oven to 250º C, leave a tray in the oven to heat.
  5. Divide the dough into 10 pieces and shape into even buns which are then flattened to about 5 mm thick. Apply flour to your working surface and hands during handling.
  6. Place the breads on the hot baking tray and bake in the middle of the oven for about 8 minutes.
  7. Leave to cool under a cloth.
