Whole grain rolls


  • 40 g margarine
  • 7 dl milk
  • 50 g yeast
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp dark syrup
  • 1 dl Kesella
  • 780 g (13 dl) Finax Grov Mjölmix, save cca 30 g (0,5 dl) for baking
  • 1 egg

Whole grain rolls

Great for snack meals or picnic! Yields about 20 pcs.

this is how you do:

  1. Melt the margarine and mix in the milk. Bring the mix to 37°C.
  2. Dissolve the yeast in the mix.
  3. Mix in salt, syrup and Kesella.
  4. Add the flourmix and work the dough by machine using dough hooks for at least 5 minutes.
  5. Apply flour across your table surface and place the dough on it.
  6. Shape the dough to about 20 equally sized rolls. Place the rolls on baking paper on a baking tray and leave them to rise under a cover for 20-25 minutes.
  7. Make diagonal cuts across each roll using a knife. Apply whipped egg to finish.
  8. Bake in the middle of the oven at 200°C for 20-25 minutes.
  9. Take out the baked rolls and let them cool down on a grill without paper.
